Meet Dr. Cadick
Dr. Cadick earned her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Indiana State University and completed her Internship at the Illiana VA Healthcare System. She began her professional career serving as the Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom Psychologist embedded in the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Clinic at the Illiana VA Health Care System. She transitioned to the Health Behavior Coordinator role where she worked on integrating behavioral health into primary care and trained staff and veterans in health promotion disease prevention.
Dr. Cadick then joined the Union Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program as the Behavioral Science Coordinator and Core Faculty. There she sits on the Clinical Competency, Program Evaluation, and Graduate Medical Education Committees. She also serves as the co lead for the Provider Wellness Program for the hospital. She holds appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Marion University and Adjunct Faculty for Indiana State University's Clinical Mental Health Counselor Program. She has completed the Society for Teaching in Family Medicine Behavioral Science/Family Systems Educator Fellowship and later served as a mentor for the program.
She was co-author and her Residency was a recipient of the following Health Resources and Services Administration grants: Residency Training Grant for Geriatrics (2015), Supplemental Training Grant for Substance Dependence (2017), and Primary Care Enhancement Residency Training in Mental and Behavioral Health (2023). She is passionate about creating a psychological safe environment where learners thrive and develop skills to provide compassionate/evidenced based care. Clinical interests/research teams include: Early Intervention and Remediation for Graduate Medical Learners (including faculty development on providing feedback); Developing a process of accommodations for residents with learning disabilities and ADHD; and Provider wellness and grief.
